About
Linking Families and Communities is a non-profit organization that wants every child, beginning at birth, to be healthy and successful. We truly feel that it does “take a village to raise a child” as no one agency or sector of the community can work in isolation. It indeed takes everyone: parents, child care providers, preschools, doctors, hospitals, schools, community organizations, churches, businesses and government to work together to create safe and supportive communities, secure and nuturing early childhood environments, secure and nurturing families, and healthy children, families and citizens. This is certainly true in Linking Families and Communities’ service area of Calhoun, Pocahontas and Webster County, where we work together to assess, plan, meet needs and fill gaps to ensure our area’s children grow up happy and healthy.
