Family Foundations
Family Foundations is an in-home visitation program assists pregnant women and families with children under the age of two to prepare for a new baby and to provide the best care possible after that baby arrives and as he or she grows. Services will focus on prenatal care, child development, child health, parenting skills and other aspects of family functioning.
Family Foundations is modeled after Healthy Families America. This model establishes critical elements and practice standards for effective home visitation programs that have been determined by repeated evaluations of early intervention and prevention programs. All staff must complete the 4-day HOPES (Healthy Opportunities to Experience Success) training.
Services are offered to all families in Calhoun, Pocahontas and Webster Counties at no charge. A family support worker will visit the family in their home or at a place of their choice.
