Partnering with Parents to Rebuild Families
The Parent Partner program is parents helping parents who are involved with the child welfare system. Parent Partners are parents who have been through “the system” themselves and have successfully resolved all child welfare issues with DHS and the Juvenile Court System. Parent Partners use their experience and knowledge in order to aid parents currenlty going through “the system”.
They are committed to giving back by helping to engage birth parents who have had their children removed. The primary goal is to help these parents reunify with their children.
Parent Partners provide support and motivation, serve as advocates for the birth parents, and connect families with resources in the community.
