Community Plan and Reports
Early Childhood Iowa Annual Reports
Each year, Linking Families and Communities completes an annual report that is submitted to the State of Iowa’s Early Childhood Iowa Office. As the recipient of Early Childhood Iowa funds, Linking Families and Communities is required to report board, program and financial data on it’s annual report.
Linking Families and Communities knows that a concerted effort is required in order to attain its vision of “Happy, Healthy Children”. Therefore, it has undergone a community needs assessment in which input was gathered from parents, community members, community provider agencies as well as local, state and federal data sources. This process provided information to set goals and strategies to drive us toward our vision, which all culminate in one document, Early Childhood Plan 2020.
EC Plan 2020 is the road map used to guide the area on its journey to reach the vision of “Happy, Healthy Children”. The Linking Families and Communities Board uses it to develop a Request for Proposal each year which requires applicants to identify the priorities of the Strategic Plan that their program addresses as well as the strategies that the program will employ. The Board then uses the plan to evaluate proposals and to gauge the progress of current programs.
The Iowa Data Drive's report for the Linking Families and Communities area and the Data Trend Update 2024 are both used to review data and area trends.
